Preschool closed out their week of learning about community helpers! They learned about bus safety and about the important role of Cooper County 911! They learned so much and had an amazing week of hands on learning!
The Compass Dental Truck will be at school October 27-30. The truck can perform dental exams, cleanings, sealants and treatment without a need to leave school and visit an outside dental office. They accept all Medicaid plans and most private insurance and a sliding scale. Please see the flyer attached if you are interested in having your student visit the Dental Truck. Several PG Junior and Senior students visited CMMG for an industry tour. Students learned about many jobs available, the benefits and the perks of working at CMMG in Boonville. The industry hires students with many diverse qualifications .
Our very own Chef Glenn participated in the Missouri Healthy Schools podcast last evening. The discussion was centered around the Local Foods For Schools grant our district participates in to purchase local beef and vegetables for use through the lunch line! This is such an excellent program funded through the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Food & Nutrition Services! Additionally the discussion shared information about the Missouri Crunch Off; a statewide event to celebrate October Farm to School Month. Thank you Chef Glenn & the Kitchen Staff for securing local foods for our students and preparing excellent meals to fuel our bellies & prepare our minds for learning!
