There has been a change on our JH Basketball schedule for later in the season. The Nov. 8th game at St. Peter and Paul in Boonville will now be on Nov. 6th. The game will start at 5:30pm and will be A girls and A boys only.
JH Time Correction: Tonight is a 5:30 start with JH "B" Game, 6:00 JH "A" Girls, 7:15 JH "A" Boys

Today was National Walk and Bike to School day!! We learned about bike and pedestrian safety and were able to walk in groups to learn important lessons on safety! We enjoyed having parents, grandparents, siblings and the HS speech students join us in learning about these important tips!

National Walk and Bike to School Day is Wednesday, October 2nd! Pilot Grove Elementary will take part in this learning opportunity to model, teach and discuss safe behaviors when walking or biking to and from school or when walking or biking around our community. Students are welcome to bring their bike to school if they wish but it is not required. We want to have a good mix of bikers and walkers. Please wear purple and gold and any Pilot Grove Tiger spirit gear!
We also want to invite families and community members to join us! Getting students, parents, community members and school staff all on the same page on biking and pedestrian safety is our main priority!
The plan for the event will be to meet at the Elementary Playground at 8:30 on the morning of October 2nd.
The following is a draft of our agenda for the event:
8:30- Students, families and participants from the community join the elementary playground and make a giant circle to go over expectations and a discussion on pedestrian and walking safety.
8:50- The walk and bike parade will begin.
We will stop and visit different areas as we walk to discuss safety.
9:30- Arrive back at school. Group celebration and reflection on safe walking and biking will take place.

This week we started "Student Positive Office Referrals". Our purpose promotes students to see the good and integrity of other students across the building! When they notice this they write their peers up! The office referrals are announced each Friday during our live morning message!

Mrs James' preschool class has been learning about Johnny Appleseed.
On Thursday they celebrated Johnny Appleseed's Birthday!
The students got to taste red apples and green apples along with some other snacks that were apple flavored. The kiddos got to fill out a sheet and tell whether or not they liked it. They marked smiley face if they liked it and a sad face if they didn’t like it.
Congratulations to our ABC award winners for August and September!! We are so proud of our students for their Achievement, Behavior and Citizenship!!!
