Thank you to Citizens Community Bank for their generous donation that will provide us the opportunity to purchase merchandising items for an upcoming program for our Pilot Grove Elementary Students. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides a variety of free, fresh fruit and vegetable snacks to children at eligible elementary schools outside of the breakfast and lunch program. A USDA study found that FFVP students eat more fruits and vegetables than students who do not participate in the program. Schools deliver FFVP snacks along with bite-sized nutrition lessons. This encourages children to try new foods, learn about seasonal produce, and set healthy eating habits that will hopefully last a lifetime.
FFVP encourages schools to work with partners at the state and local level to support the program. Since the program began in 2008, public and private partnerships have contributed to program success and offering healthier snacks in schools. Thank you to students who auditioned for the play. Mrs. Litton is working on casting and roles and will get that information shared with families and students next week. She will then send home practice schedules when that is set. At this time, there are no scheduled practice times. Thank you!

FFA Members: Food Insecurity Day at the State Fair is TOMORROW, Aug. 12. The bus leaves at 7:15 am. Lunch and a shirt will be provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a little money for dinner. We should return around 6:30 or 7 pm.

Senate Bill 68 requires all public schools in Missouri to adopt a policy to regulate the use of personal electronic devices by students during the school day.
Students at Pilot Grove C4 will not be allowed to use or display devices (including cell phones, smart watches, personal gaming devices, personal laptop/tablet, wired or wireless earbuds) from the time they enter the building until dismissal at 3:15pm in all areas of the school. This includes during instruction, hallways during passing periods, lunch and study hall.

HS Fall Sports will begin on Monday August 11th. Softball will begin with their annual midnight practice from 12:00AM-2:00AM and baseball will start at 3:30PM-5:30PM. Please remember to turn in any updated physicals and pre participation forms are due before the 1st practice!
