April 1, 2026
Dear Families,
Our school district has always been proud of the strong partnership we share with our community, and I want to take a moment to share important information about a measure that will appear on the April 7, 2026 ballot.
Voters will be asked to consider a no tax increase levy. If approved, this measure would make the District’s existing temporary operating levy of $0.6892 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation permanent after the 2026 tax year. This means there would be no increase to the current tax rate—it simply allows the District to continue using funds already in place to support our schools.
These operating funds are essential to the day-to-day success of our District. They help us retain high-quality certified teachers and support staff, who are the heart of our schools and play a critical role in student success. The levy also supports the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring safe, functional, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff. Additionally, these funds help the District meet rising operating expenses, including utilities, instructional materials, and required services.
Our goal is to be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars while continuing to provide a high-quality education for every student. This proposal helps maintain stability for the future without placing additional financial burden on our community.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools. We value your partnership and encourage you to stay informed as we approach the April 7, 2026 election. If you have any questions or would like to further discuss this ballot measure, I’d love to talk with you. Please call me at (660) 834-6915 ext. 3001 or email me at agroepper@pilotgrove.k12.mo.us.
Sincerely,
Ashley Groepper
