Pilot Grove School had the pleasure of hosting esteemed author Roland Smith yesterday. Smith presented to the students during the school day and spoke about his books and his writing process. Between the presentations, the band played their #1, Exemplary, rated song for Smith and the students and staff of PG. Smith returned that evening to present to the community. In the evening presentation, he discussed his work with different animals as a zookeeper and multiple other jobs at the zoo. He also talked about his job as a senior research biologist in which he helped to reintroduce red wolves into the wild. We hope to host another author visit in the future. Thank you to everyone who helped provide all students and faculty with one of his books and who made this author visit possible.
