Recognizing the contributions of ag teachers is today's theme for National FFA Week. Announcing the semi-finalists for the Missouri FFA Foundation's inaugural Golden Owl Award seems the perfect way to do just that! The Golden Owl Award®, sponsored by Nationwide recognizes Missouri's agricultural educators for their tremendous contributions to helping the next generation of agricultural leaders. We received almost 400 nominations this year! The 18 teachers featured below have been selected as our semi-finalists, representing Missouri's 16 FFA Areas and our Post-Secondary/Adult Education Programs. Seven of these teachers will be selected as finalists and win $500 each. One finalist will be named as the Missouri Ag Educator of the Year at the Missouri FFA Association State Convention in April and win $3,000.
