News from Ms. Winn: High school academic practice will begin Wednesday, Sept 13th at 6:45 a.m. and end at 7:40 a.m. in my classroom. Middle School academic practice will begin Thursday, Sept 14th at 6:45 a.m. and end at 7:40 a.m. in my classroom. |
The baseball team will be selling patches in memory of Momma Kim Townlain. These patches can be sewn onto shirts, backpacks, hats etc... Each patch will cost $10. Money can be turned in to Lisa in the high school office to receive the patch. There are a limited number of patches available, first come first served. |
FBLA FBLA Tailgate Party--September 22 following the boys' baseball game. Please make sure you have your dues paid before then in order to attend. |
ART The yearly CAC Art Competition will be Wednesday, October 4th! We are looking for 10 students in grades 9th through 12th to represent our school. Competing students will have 2 hours to create a new project in their media and category of choice (pencil, charcoal, pastels, ink, watercolor, paint, etc.) Judging and prizes will happen on this same day. You will miss an entire day of school. Categories/Competitions are as follows: Still Life (observation) Portrait (observation) Model (observation) Architecture/Landscape (observation) Illustration Prompt (imagination) See Mrs. Brueckner as soon as possible if you are interested. |
Note from Mrs. Lammers: If you have any items to be laminated, please put them in the therapy room (the corner room by Mrs. Lammers' office) by noon on Wednesday and Thursday of each week. Items will be laminated on Wednesday and Thursday. |
Notes from Mrs. Reardon: See information on an upcoming Entrepreneur Day at Missouri Valley. It will be held on November 15th. We will leave at 8 and return by 3:00. Students must email or contact Mrs. Reardon to sign up for this event. Interested students need to be Seniors, Juniors or Sophomores. This event is for students interested in creating and owning their own business. Please let Mrs. Reardon know by October 2nd if you would like to attend. |

You will need to be prepared with who you want to talk to and what information you want to learn. Pie & Apply November 13, 2023 lunch & 5th hour You will have time to eat pizza and apply to local colleges and scholarship search engines *if you have not already done so. SFCC will be available to help create your FAFSA ID numbers. Entrepreneur Day November 15, 2023 Mo Valley This day will be spent at Missouri Valley College learning about Entrepreneurship and owning/managing your own business. *You must have a strong interest in this career to attend. If interested, please let me know before September 29th. FAFSA Night TBA This will be an opportunity for you and your parents to come in and register for the FAFSA. They are changing the FAFSA this year so we do not know specifics yet. We are anticipating this will be held in December or January. *All Seniors will need to complete the FAFSA!!!
