PGHS Envirothon Team Competes at State
The PGHS Envirothon team competed against 14 others at the state competition last Thursday, May 4th, at Lincoln University’s George Washington Carver research farm. Waylan Christy, Jefferson Day, Logan Goehman, Alec Schupp, and Hayden Sleeper worked as a team to compete in 6 different areas of competition including Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Soils, Current Issues, and Oral Presentation. The team placed 8th overall and earned some notable accomplishments in Wildlife where they placed 3rd and in Oral Presentation where they placed 4th. Alec Schupp said, “Envirothon was a great enriching experience. I learned a lot and had a great time!” We are already looking forward to next year’s competition!
