Pilot Grove Track Pounces at Glasgow MS Relays!  

The Pilot Grove JH Track Team went to Glasgow High School on 5/4/2023 and competed against 22 different schools all bigger than us. Despite the other schools being bigger than us, and the heat, we still had a great night!

Notable top 10 Finishes Include:

Arleigh Watring: took 6th place overall in the 100m dash, and 8th in the 400m dash.

Romi Stegner: took 2nd overall in high jump with a jump of 1.27m.

Beretta Hoff: took 9th overall in the discus with a throw of 17.24m.

Kole Kivett: took 8th in the 200m dash 

Matthew Renfro: took 9th in the 200m dash

Garrett Reuter: took 4th in the 400m dash, and 5th in shot put.

Brycen Stephens: took 7th in the 400m dash.

Josiah Hand: took 5th in the 800m run.

Zachary Rehmer: took 8th in the 1600m run.

Keaton Reuter: took 10th in the 1600m run.

The girls 4x100m relay consisting of Kirsten Ramey, Addison Renfrow, Milly Waller, and Romi Stegner took 6th overall with a time of 59.56.

The boys 4x100m relay consisting of Kole Kivett, Garrett Reuter, Brycen Stephens, and Josiah Hand took 2nd overall with a time of 50.43. 

The boys 4x400 relay consisting of Josiah Hand, Garrett Reuter, Brycen Stephens, and Zachary Rehmer took 2nd overall with a time of 4:08.84.

Notes from Mrs. Reardon:   

 May 8 and May 12 - Juniors will be meeting with Mrs. Reardon May 8th and May 12th to follow up on their Job Shadow experience and begin discussions for their Senior Year.  Juniors may be absent 1/2 or a full hour of class when meeting.  

A representative from Columbia College will be here Monday May 8th during study hall.  We will meet in the library.  This would be for all Juniors interested in attending college after graduation.   

Tuesday, May 9th, there will be a school wide assembly at 2:45 to recognize our Seniors.

Senior FBLA Members--The FBLA Scholarship is due this Friday by 3:30.  See Mrs. Munden if you would like an application.

Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors--If you are interested in being an FBLA officer for the next school year please see Mrs. Munden for an application.  Applications are due by 3:30 this Friday, May 5.

From Mrs. LItton:

Student Council Officer Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are now being accepted. The application deadline is Monday, May 8th at 3:00 pm. 

It is Student Council's goal to build up our school community. We do this through activities such as the Back to School Bash, Veterans Day Assembly, and Homecoming. We are able to fund these activities through our concession stand work in the Fall. We would like to expand into other areas of community/school service. From Mrs. Leonard:

Attention High School Students:  I am looking for some helpful hands to help with this year's ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY!!  Field Day is May 16, 2023.  I need assistance starting at 8:15-3:00.  If you are interested, please sign up on the sign up sheet by the HS office and lunchroom by  May 10th.  You must be academically eligible to participate.  Once I get everyone signed up we will do a quick meeting during lunch or study hall to go over the event.  Thank you!
